Farm Pumpkin

Farm pumpkin is typically planted as single rows with 30-40 inches between plants in the row and 8-12 feet between rows, depending on plant type. Insects can be a major problem with intense field production. Cucumber beetles, aphids, squash vine borer, seed corn maggot, squash bug, and spider mites have the potential to cause a reduction or harvest loss in any given year.

Growing pumpkins with Crop Circles improves yield and quality due to negligible losses. Pumpkin is well suited to small-scale and part-time farming operations.

Pumpkin Crop Circles grow 50 plants. Styrian Pumpkin, the "Naked Seed Pumpkin" is the preferred variety because of its specialty seed market value.

Harvest Pumpkin

We grew a harvest pumpkin variety for roasting seeds. Our 30-foot circle grew a beautiful, healthy pumpkin patch that produced over 500 pumpkins at harvest.
